Paper Dolls

Paper Dolls

While doing my normal dumpster diving, I came across a roll of watercolor paper... a really nice one. The first 2ft of the 50ft roll was trashed, but the next 48ft was perfectly fine. So I dug out two rolls from the trash and took them home. I had recently done a series of photos with models and thought this would be a good time to play with those poses. I got back to my studio (garage at the time) cut open the roll and it unraveled itself all the way down the driveway. My neighbor walking by commented not the paper, now adorning the length of the driveway and into the middle of the street, "So I guess this will be a larger than life painting?" While he's a decent smart ass, it struck me to paint life size, if not larger. All of these ink/acrylics figures are life size or larger. Thanks neighbor! and thank you to my most gracious and beautiful models.
